THE FASTEST man in the world will descend on Manchester in May.

Usain Bolt, the Jamaican who illuminated the Beijing Olympics, will give the BUPA Great Manchester Run on May 17 its most

rapid start when he competes in a special 150m sprint prior to the big race.

Bolt will also use his time in Manchester to get close to one of his other loves by visiting Manchester United.

A lifelong United fan it is reported thatBolt, 22, will visit the club’s Carrington training ground and will dosome speedwork with the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bolt has timed his visit to Unitedimpeccably with his favourite team taking on perennial foe Arsenal onMay 16 at Old Trafford.

Bolt will line up alongside as yet unknown opponents for the 150m dash which will raise money for charity.

Talented Briton Simeon Williamson is said to be one of the men set to tackle the triple gold medal winner.

Bolt’s appearance will add to the spectatorcount who will come out to watch the 30,000 who have already signed upfor the Manchester Run.

Bolt etched his name into the track andfield history books by claiming gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m - allin world record times.
